Religious organisation extends work

Family Life International (FLI), which works to improve the lives of people using Christian and humane principles, has opened up a chapter in Vanimo.

The Vanimo chapter adds to offices already established in Madang and Alotau. The formation of the chapter follows a visit by two women representatives from Family Life International (FLI) Australia, who conducted a workshop on the theme: God's plan for Love and Life.

The two, Gail Instance, President of FLI Australia and member and psychologist Wanda Skowronska, had visited the Divine Word University in Madang before going to Vanimo.

They went to Vanimo on the invitation of Fr. Marian Faliszek, who heads a pro-life organisation founded by Fr. Paul Marx, a Benedictian priest from America.

It was formerly known as Human Life International but later changed to FLI. It is an organisation that tries to create awareness and stop attacks on family life and takes a total approach to promoting life and procreation.

The workshop was hed at St. Paul's Pastoral Centre in Lote, and attracted many people, mostly everyone who support life must stand up and speak against those who promote all kinds of means to destroy or spoil life.
