Worthy donation to District

New sets of computer equipment helps boost moral of government officers within Aitape-Lumi District, Sandaun Province.

The Member for Aitape-Lumi and Minister for Forest, Patrick Pruaitch donated a total of nine computers worth K40, 000.00 to various offices, both from the National and Provincial Government, within the district.

Two were given to the National Government offices, the Court House and Police Station, four were given to the District offices and one went to Lumi for Deputy Administrator's office. All were officially presented to the offices by Mr. Pruaitch on Monday.

"We are very fortunate and appreciate this timely gift from the minister, because it will greatly benefit our offices," commented Raphael Seki, the Care Taker Administrator, who's currently minding office while the Administrator is on leave.

Mr. Seki also added that through this donation, Mr. Pruaitch has shown very good administrative support towards the District. He also told Aitape Star that the member was also planning to deliver four new landcruisers to facilitate the offices. This is scheduled to happen next month (March).

Also during Mr. Pruaitch's visit to Aitape, he made an attempt to see the damage caused to the shoreline by the high tides, however was unable to comment on whether there would be any effort made to address the problem.
