Religious Updates

The Brothers in Walamu are still continuing their Ministries of providing Health Care services to the Walamu High School and the locals. They also run clinics at a few catchment areas to neibouring villages especially, to the mothers and children.

Another ministry is that they teach Religious Education at the High School and take the Sunday Communion Services on Sundays when there is no priest or cathechist.

It is hard to get some news from the Brothers because of the distance and the difficulties in travelling but the best time I think that we can get some news from them is when they are down here in Aitape.

As for our Brothers in Wewak, they are still running the Rohonoka Recovery Programme at the Boys Town. This work is funded by the Bishops of PNG and Solomon Island.

The programme in this centre is mainly for the Drug and Alcohol and Gambling addictions. Some religious also attend this programme for their own personal enrichment and it helps them in their misinistries.
