Australian Passport Fees Updated

From 1st July 2006 the cost of the standard adult passport has risen from AUD172 to AUD193, while for children and seniors the standard passport fees has risen from AUD86 to AUD96. The fees for passports and other rravel documents have risen to reflect the increase in the Consumer Price Index and to offset the cost of increased Consular services provided to Australian passport holders overseas.

Passport Fees are recalculated into PNG Kina each month using the latest exchange rate. Fees will remain the same unless there is and exchange rate variation of more than 3%.

These fees apply to any applications recieved by the Australian High Commission (or the Consulate in Lae) on or after 1 July 2006 regardless of when the applications were signed.

It may therefore be necessary in some cases to hold applications until the full fee is paid.

Passport fees in PGK for July 2006 are as follows:
Adult (32 pages)(standard)K410.00
Child (32 pages)(standard)K204.00
