Bad roads in West Sepik Province remain a major concern for the provincial government.
Provincial Administrator, Joseph Sungi said the Nuku road is in a very bad state.
Mr. Sungi said the road linking Wewak, Nuku and Lumi also needs to be sealed but this cannot be done as it was an expensive exercise to hire contractors not only to seal, but to grade the roads.
This is because the provincial government cannot afford to hire contractors because the month allocated by the National Government for this purpose was not sufficient.
"There is a lack of support given, that is why the roads are in very poor conditions throughout the province," he said.
