Youth workshop aimed at getting youths to be self-relaint, looking at God and oneself and a direction in life.

A one-week workshop was held at St. Martins Pastoral Centre for 14 youth participants from the Aitape Deanery.

The workshop covered topics such as Limited Preferencial Voting, Project Proposal writing and planning, the Youth Ministry and a retreat.

New executives for the Aitape Deanery youth Committee were also elected, the President being Herbert Wasun, Vice-President Rose Masero, Secretary Stanley Wakenu and Treasurer Cansius Atawi.

Ms. Masero commented that there should be more workshops of a similiar kind held to steer the youths on the right direction for better living.

She complimented the coordinator Sr. Francesca Nama mfic, for including the project proposal writing session as she believed it would help in a big way for the young people who could then be able to run projects if given the assistance.

Teh workshop ended on Friday with a Mass celebrated by Fr. David (Spiritan).
