The Aitape Diocesan Assembly was held at the St. Martin’s Pastoral Centre from 31st May to 4th June 2004.

Delegates representing religious, pastoral and social groups participated and contributed very useful ideas for the PNG General Assembly that will be hosted by Rabaul Archdiocese in July this year.

The diocesan assembly’s vision and mission statement focused on faith development and nourishing within the family surrounding and then at the community and the school and out to the wider community (world).

On this note, you are teachers should feel and know that you have a major part to play in nourishing the faith of our children by giving them more recipes. You also have the duty to encourage the parents to do likewise.

From there the children will grow into good believing Catholic followers.
