Mete Holdings Limited gives donation to boost volleyball tournament at Tumeleo Island.

Samson Kupu (Chairman of Mete Holdings Limited in Aitape), was one of the invited guests at the 3rd Tumeleo Volleyball Tournament on Saturday 11th October. His presence was of significance on the day as he had donated a cheque of K300 towards the Tumeleo Volleyball Association.

Also present was the island Ward councillor and the President of the Volleyball Association Oscar Nawai who thanked Mr. Kupu for his generous donation saying that the assistance will boost the morale of the youths especially to take part in future sporting activities and not participate in crime-related activities such as smoking marijuana, brewing of home-made beer (stim) and fighting.

The grand finale of the tournament saw the following teams winning the first place spot. Tawas for the men's division and Wrong Mix for the women's division (who are also the reigning champions for 3 consecutive years).

After the grand final game there were activities at the school ground area which attracted the islanders for an evening of entertaining enjoyment for everyone.
