| The Royal Australian Navys Heavy Landing Craft ships HMAS TARAKAN and HMAS LABUAN are providing an essential bulk carrying capacity for OPERATION SIERRA. Each ship can move up to 90 tonnes of aid supplies. Each has a crew of 15 personnel. Their first task in the drought relief effort was to pre-position relief supplies to Kerema in the Gulf Province. |
